How to Play Iowa Pick 4

The Iowa Lottery has a large network of retail locations where you can play Pick 4. It's a really easy game to play, but there are a few steps to it as you have control over several parts of the game.

Follow the guide below to help you fill out a playslip, then take it to the lottery terminal or self-service kiosk. Draws take place at 12:20 PM CT and 10:00 PM CT every day, and you need to buy your tickets before the cut-off times of noon or 9:40 PM CT.

Play either the Midday draw, the Evening draw, or both. You can also enter your numbers for up to 16 consecutive days to make sure that you don't miss out on a draw.

How to Win

To win a Pick 4 prize, you must match all the numbers you have selected. There's no prize for getting three out of four, for example, or one out of two if you play a Pair. You also have to meet the requirements of your play type, so for a Straight wager you must get all four digits in the correct positions. Go to the Odds and Prizes page to see the payouts for each play type.
